Gastroenterologie und Hepatologie

Our clinical teachers are strongly committed to being actively involved in the education of competent, dedicated young medical professionals who are willing to change. We translate research-led teaching into action in special seminars and courses and above all in the supervision of diploma and doctoral students. We actively contribute to the further development of our curriculum. Through problem-based knowledge transfer along with patient- and value-based competence transfer and a systems approach to patient care, we teach specialist knowledge and skills, responsible action, a sense of orientation and a willingness to improve.

Lehre

Research-led teaching

All our teaching focuses on the human being! Our teaching is oriented to problem solving and based on case studies, and we emphasize acquiring skills in clinical examination. In line with a visceral medicine approach to care, we teach clinical courses, modules and tracks with colleagues from pathology, radiology and surgery. We convey the basis for modern testing methods and interpretation of their results and introduce symptom-based education . Instructional films such as "Das klinische Leitsymptom – Ihr roter Faden durch Ihr Studium" (available in German only) are currently being developed for our virtual medical campus as a guide and interface between theoretical and clinical education. In upcoming years, special attention will be paid to providing our students with in-depth training in ultrasound techniques.

Weiterbildung
